This tinted moisturizer is a thicker texture that blends in well with my fingers (I prefer not to need brushes and sponges when doing minimal makeup like this). It gave me light coverage and evened out my skin tone nicely. I’m wearing the shade Almond which was a little too dark for the middle of my face, but I think if I went down a shade then it would be too light for the outside of my face. I could fix this by buying the lighter shade and applying both, but I’m not sure I want to do all of that just for a light coverage day.

Is The Lip Bar Tinted Moisturizer Good?

I don’t mind this tinted moisturizer, but it’s not my favorite. Definitely wish they had more than 8 shades available, Glad they increased to 12 shades, still think they could add some more but it seems sheer enough that multiple skin tones could use each one. This shade isn’t bad on me even though I thought it would be too dark when I first put it on. Price is nice, it’s available at Target, and it’s Black-owned which is always a plus. The texture was a little thicker than the Fenty skin tint, but it still blended well with just my fingers. My combination skin looked and felt oily after 10 hours, but it doesn’t claim to be matte or long wearing. Also, SPF 11 is not enough at all so pleaseee layer another sunscreen underneath this! I shared some effective sunscreens for dark skin in this post, and reviewed the products from Black Girl Sunscreen in this one, so check them out if you’re looking for some recommendations!

☆ On a scale of 1-5  (1=bad, 2=meh, 3=fine, 4=good, 5=great), I’d give this 3 stars ☆– it’s a nice tinted moisturizer, but not one I would reach for again for my oily/combination skin.
