Mented Stick Foundation Application

This stick foundation has a light cream texture that blended in very pretty well with my fingers. (I don’t like using brushes and sponges when doing light makeup like this). It gave me light-medium coverage that built up well in areas where I wanted more coverage. It also evened out my skin tone while still letting my skin look like skin, which is a goal of mine. I’m wearing the shade T20 which a very good match for my skin tone. Mented Cosmetics offers a sampler pack to help you determine your best shade, which I love. I also own shade T40 which is a bit darker and matches the outside of my face better than T20. If I wanted a more natural look, I would use T20 in the middle of my face and T40 on the perimeter, and blend the edges with a soft brush.

Is The Skin by Mented Stick Foundation Good?

This is a really nice stick foundation (and it’s Black-owned! πŸ™ŒπŸΎ) I love that they offer a sample pack of all the shades so you can figure out which is best for you. It’s really hard to match foundation colors online, so this is a great option. It blended in pretty easily with my fingers even though they recommend using a brush. It also built up nicely in areas where I wanted more coverage which is great so I didn’t need to grab another product. Stick packaging is always a plus for me because of how convenient it is. The foundation started feeling heavy on my oily/combination skin by the end of the day, and I was ready to wash it off. $30 is a bit steep for a foundation in my opinion, but wait for a sale or coupon and I think it’s worth it

β˜† On a scale of 1-5 Β (1=bad, 2=meh, 3=fine, 4=good, 5=great), I’d give this 3 stars β˜† – it’s a nice foundation with good coverage, but it doesn’t last long enough in the day for my skin
