Pashion Footwear Review – Are these convertible heels actually good?

Tiktok recommendations can be hit or miss. I saw a bunch of posts about convertible heels from Pashion Footwear, and bought a pair in May 2023 to test them out for myself. Keep scrolling to read my full Pashion shoes review after owning a pair for 5+ months!

tl;dr

I bought the Sandal style in the shade Walnut in May with a coupon code. The shoes took a little breaking in but they are comfortable as both sandals and heels. The front of the shoes curl up a little bit but that goes down under bodyweight.

Clicking the heels off and on took a minute to learn how to do, but it’s pretty easy now that I have the hang of it. After wearing them to multiple events over the last 5+ months, I really like these shoes. I would recommend to anyone who wants the convenience of having two shoes in one.

Ordering Pashion Heels

After looking up reviews and debating which style to choose, I placed an order on May 1st. I bought The Sandal in Walnut with a 3 inch block heel, and the 4 inch raffia heel to switch out for a different look. That style retails for $185 and the extra heels retailed for $50 but were on sale for $35. (As of November 2023, the Raffia heels are on clearance for $20). I don’t like paying full price for anything, so I used a 20% off coupon and spent $168 total. The shoes were delivered on May 7, so they showed up within a week which was pretty quick.

First Thoughts on Pashion Convertible Heels

Honestly I thought it was funny that the shoes curve up like little elf shoes as flats. Once I tried them on, they do flatten out underneath body weight. There’s a decent amount of arch support with this style which my high arches really appreciate.

The heels come with the 3 inch block that match the heel, along with caps for wearing them as flats. They also come with sole supports to use when they’re heels, and a drawstring bag to carry whatever you’re not wearing. It took a little bit to get used to switching the heels on and off, but it was pretty easy once I got used to it.

I wore them to work for 3 days to test them out, two days in the 3 inch heels and one in the 4 inch heels. (I sit most of the day FYI) Overall the sandals are pretty comfortable! There was a bit of rubbing against my pinky toes but I’ve had that happen with other shoes too so it’s not a big deal to me. Being able to drive in flats and popping on heels before walking in was great. Open-toed sandals are fine in my office and were a great choice for summer. They’re easy to dress up or down, which I really like. I’d love to try the closed toe pump option next.

Side Note

They came out with a “nude suite collection”: a collection of shoes that come in multiple skin tone shades. I’m really happy to see that they did this! The collection is only available in certain styles, and I wish they would extend the darker colors to other styles too. They’ve got a ton of styles in the lighter nude shades, I want them to bring that same energy for us darker skinned girls too.

Pashion Shoes on a Work Trip

Mid-May I had a week-long work training in Indiana, so I brought my Pashions to see how well they traveled. I only brought the flat caps and 3inch blocks with me, and they were very easy to pack in my carry-on. The training was at Indiana University and I wore the shoes mainly as flats around campus. They started rubbing against my pinky toe a bit more which was annoying. I put a couple bandaids around my toe to keep from getting blisters.

I stayed in the on-campus hotel and didn’t have far to walk each morning to get to the training hall. Some days I wore them as flats down to training and popped the heels on when I got there. Other days I wore them down as heels, and switched to flats towards the end of the day. Directly after training one of the days there was a wine and cheese mixer. There wasn’t enough time to go back to my room and change clothes, so being able to switch from heels to flats came in clutch.

Overall I really enjoyed having them for this work trip! The sandal style worked well both during work training and off time, they packed easily in a small suitcase, and continued to get more comfortable the longer I wore them.

Pashion Heels on Vacation

I went to Puerto Rico in June for the STEMNoire conference, and knew I wanted to test my Pashions there too. Again I only brought a carry-on, and the heels were easy to pack. (I brought both the short and tall heels this time).

During the panels and other conference events, I alternated between wearing them as 3 inch heels and wearing them as flats. By this time, they were well broken in and felt comfortable to wear around the hotel. For the fun events at night I wore the short heels to dinner and the taller heels to go out dancing, always making sure I had the flat caps with me when my feet got tired.

I brought cheap flip flops to wear on the beach, but I think they worked well around the rest of the resort. Not sure I would have liked these on the beach to be honest, I would have been worried about getting sand in the crevices where the sole support clicks in.

Overall, these were a good shoe to bring on a conference/vacation trip! The neutral brown shade worked with all my outfits, they’re easy to dress up and down, and they felt comfortable in basically every setting.

Pashion Convertible Heels at a Wedding

The number one suggestion I see for these shoes is at weddings, both for guests and brides. I wore the sandals to one in September and the suggestions are right: these shoes are perfect for weddings! During the ceremony I wore them as heels with the 3 inch blocks. I liked having the 4 inch blocks as an option in case my dress was too long, but the 3’s worked out fine. I switched to the flats after the cocktail hour and for the rest of the reception.

Final Thoughts About Pashion Footwear

Since purchasing these Pashions sandals in May, I’ve worn them many times and they’ve held up really well. Not gonna lie, I was pretty nervous about spending so much money on a pair of shoes, but these were definitely worth it. You’re basically getting 2-3 different shoes for one price, which helped me feel like this was more of an investment. I felt they did need to be broken in which I think is normal for most shoes. There was a little pain from rubbing against my pink toes in the beginning, but it softened and went away over time.

Yes, the front of the shoe as a flat curls up like an elf in the beginning lol. It does flatten out over time and gets easier to walk in and look more normal. I had no issues switching from heels to flats once I got used to which way they turned. Not sure how I scuffed the backs SO BADLY lol maybe from when I wore them as flats? I’ll have to find a way to fix that.

Pashion heels are not for you if:

1. You’re not going to ever wear them as heels (I don’t think they’re worth the price for just flats) 2. You’re not interested in breaking in shoes (I’ve seen some comments that shoes this expensive shouldn’t need to be broken in) 3. You don’t want to spend over $165 for shoes (I don’t want to either tbh, my suggestion is to wait for a sale) 4. You wear over a women’s size 11 or need a wide width (as of October 2023 those aren’t available yet but the company says they’re working on it)

Overall

I love these shoes and can’t wait to buy another pair! I’ve been looking at the booties for fall, and they recently came out with knee high boots now too.
