Face It Complexion Stick Application
Like all my wear tests, I didn’t apply primer or powder to make this product last longer. The stick glided across my face nicely and didn’t feel tough or pull my skin in areas. I blended it in with my fingers, and it looked seamless once I was done. Shade #110 matched my skin extremely well, which made me really happy since I bought it online.
After wearing this product for 10+ hours, my skin looked really good to be honest. I haven’t had the best luck with foundation sticks in the past, but this one surprised me! My T-zone looked a little shiny which is to be expected with my oily/combination skin. I also had a little shine on my cheeks, but nothing excessive. I also liked that the foundation didn’t feel heavy or greasy on my skin even after wearing it for so long.

Thread Foundation Stick Application Video
I originally ordered shade #80 from Target online in late 2021, which is the shade I applied in this initial wear test. It ended up being a little too light for me, so I ordered shade #110 after filming this to give it another chance. I didn’t want the fact that my first stick was over a year old to affect how it wore on my skin.
So Is The Thread Foundation Stick Good?
Out of all the foundation sticks I’ve tried in the past, this is one of the best! It has a great shade range with a nice gradient from dark to light. It blended into my skin easily with just my fingers, and didn’t feel tough or pull like some other sticks do. The foundation also held up surprisingly well on my oily/combination skin after wearing it for 10+ hours. I’m not sure if this would last without primer or powder in the summer, but that could be said for most foundations. Also, it’s only $8! Bonus points for such an accessible price point.
β On a scale of 1-5 (1=bad, 2=meh, 3=fine, 4=good, 5=great), I give this 5 stars β – I initially only gave it 4 stars, but I increased my rating after using a new stick instead of my old one. I think this is a great foundation stick, not just for drugstore pricing but in general.
