Do you need this drugstore foundation? – Maybelline Skin Tint Review

I saw this product on sale in CVS and really wanted to try another drugstore skin tint, so here’s my review on the Maybelline SuperStay Skin Tint.

SuperStay Skin Tint Application

On first glance, the product seemed like it was going to pull too red/orange on my skin. After blending it in, the excess redness went down but wasn’t fully gone.

I’m not a fan of foundations that come in dropper bottles, so this product loses points for that. The formula of this skin tint dries down very quickly and left my skin feeling matte and like I didn’t put anything on. It also was pretty transfer-resistant after it dried down, which I think is a great feature for a complexion product.

10 hours later, I had a slight shine across my face, but it didn’t look bad overall. The color seems like it oxidized a bit and looks darker than it did when I first put it on.

Is the Maybelline 24hour Skin Tint good?

Maybe it’s just me, but I think Maybelline foundations pull too orange/red. The undertones aren’t inclusive for darker shades, even when they’re listed as neutral. This isn’t the worst skin tint I’ve used, but I do like the formula and how it dries down. It lasted decently well on my skin after 9 hours, but I’ve used tinted moisturizers that I enjoyed more than this one.

☆ On a scale of 1-5  (1=bad, 2=meh, 3=fine, 4=good, 5=great), I’d give this 3 stars ☆ – the main thing I like about this skin tint is the dry down of the formula. I think it’s a fine product but not one I want to reach for when putting on makeup, and not one I’ll be repurchasing.
